Because of this, we are always on the lookout for different and exciting party options. If, like us, you are also looking for inspiration for your next kid’s party, here we have compiled a list of some of our favourite things to do and places to go with kids in Spain’s Costa Blanca region. Inevitably, a lot of the things on the list will cost money to do. The amount you will need to spend will obviously depend on the activity chosen and number of children invited. We understand that not everybody has lots of spare cash to spend though, so we have also included some lower budget birthday patry options that can still make for a great fun party experience.

So, regardless of if you either are a local resident or a visiting holidaymaker looking to celebrate a birthday or other children’s event in this part of sunny Spain, here are our best party ideas for kids in Costa Blanca. Read on… You might even get to ride on a ‘unicorn’!

What are the Best Party Ideas for Kids in Costa Blanca?

Hire a Venue

A good, basic option for a kid’s party is to hire a venue to host the party in. This will likely provide a larger space than you could provide at home, along with the bonus of not having to do all of the cleaning up afterwards!

There are countless spaces available for rent throughout the Costa Blanca region. Some will be quite simple, requiring you to provide all of the party setup inside. Others may offer party services such as catering, decorations and even entertainers. It is important to think about how many guests you plan on inviting before picking a venue to hire.

For a great party venue in Costa Blanca South, Orbita in San Miguel de Salinas has a dedicated upstairs party room with a kid’s play room and assortment of toys, as well as plenty of space for accompanying adults to sit. They can also provide party packages that include food and birthday decorations.

Indoor Play Centre

Another popular option for a kid’s birthday party in Costa Blanca, especially for younger children, is a visit to an indoor play area, or soft play centre. An indoor play area will provide obstacles and equipment for kids to use and run off some steam, all housed within a safe environment. Some will have staff on hand to entertain the kids while they are using the play area.

Many indoor play centres will offer either shared or exclusive use of their facilities. The number of guests you plan on inviting and how much you want to spend will probably determine whether or not you want to have the place all to yourselves or not. Most will offer different food and drinks packages to accompany your party.

Trampoline Park

Rather than a visit to an indoor play area (see above), older or more adventurous children may prefer a trip to a trampoline park.

Being home to both the largest trampoline park in Spain, as well as one of the best soft play indoor play areas in all of Costa Blanca, Street Jump in Elche is sure to make a great day out for any thrill seeking kids.

While they offer party packages that also include food, neither the activity or dining spaces offer exclusive use, so do get very noisy. You may therefore prefer to visit Street Jump for just the activity, then choose to eat or continue the party elsewhere.

Go-Karts

For lovers of speed, why not consider visiting one of Costa Blanca’s many go-kart tracks? Kids of all ages will love being able to get behind the wheel of a kart to whizz around a track. Some of the tracks have lower powered karts and separate, smaller tracks specially for children to use. All of the tracks also have the option of hiring double karts, so even very young children can ride along with an adult.

At both Go-Karts Orihuela Costa and Go-Karts Ciudad Quesada, as well as the go-karts themselves, both venues also offer an area of inflatables and small rides for children to use. It is possible to buy birthday party packages that include unlimited use of the inflatables, food and discounted go-kart rides at both venues.

Bowling

Why not get your kids to invite a few friends and head to one of the region’s bowling lanes? The bowling is usually also accompanied by an arcade area, meaning children can happily be entertained for a couple of hours.

Bowling Pleno Zenia at the Zenia Boulevard shopping centre in Orihuela Costa offers relatively low cost bowling in relaxed surroundings. The option of raising side barriers on the lanes and frames to roll the balls down means that even small children are able to score a strike! The shopping centre also has several different restaurant options on site if you are looking to combine the bowling with some food afterwards.

Outdoor Activity Centre

If you are looking to get outdoors and try something exciting with your kids for their birthday party, you should take a look at one of Costa Blanca’s activity centres. There are all sorts of possibilities. You could have a go at horse riding, zip wires, high ropes, quad biking or paintball, amongst other things.

One such place that offers many of these activities in the south of Costa Blanca (and more!), is Lo Rufete in San Miguel de Salinas. Party packages for multiple activities and food are available.

Theme Park / Water Park

For anyone with a bit more money to spend, Spain’s Costa Blanca region is home to some top class theme parks and water parks. If having a party during the summer months, you could experience some world class rides including Europe’s highest water slide at Benidorm’s Aqualandia water park.

Although traditional party packages are usually not available, taking a small group of children with picnic party food to either a theme park or water park could still create an unforgettable birthday experience.

Parks & Playgrounds

For anyone looking for a lower budget or cheaper option for a kids birthday party in Costa Blanca, a visit to one of the area’s public parks is a great idea. With parks distributed throughout Costa Blanca, there are no shortage to choose from. Most come with playgrounds to keep the kids entertained.

Some parks also come with picnic benches and facilities to create an area for dining. Some even have public barbecues available to use for free. One such park is the excellent El Recorral in Ciudad Quesada. Why not bring your own food, baloons and decorations and create a memorable party experience all of your own?

Children’s Entertainer

Whether in your own house, or at a dedicated party venue, if you don’t fancy trying to keep a room full of kids entertained for several hours on your own, why not consider hiring a children’s entertainer to help out?

You might like somebody to be dressed as your kid’s favourite princess or superhero, or somebody to run games and do face-painting, baloon animals, or even magic! All these options can be achieved right here in Costa Blanca.

Some great people to try are Natasha Oliver for organising themed parties, or Graeme Mykal for incredible close-up children’s magic.

Decorations and Cake

Just as you may not want to do all of the entertaining yourself, you may also want some help with creating decorations for your party. Mia’s Toy & Balloon Shop in Catral can help you with arranging beautiful and memorable decorations for your party. Whether you are holding a party at home, at a venue or in a local park, adding some customised decorations can really make your event. Things like balloon arches or numbered helium balloons create a great first impression for guests.

For the most amazing cakes in Costa Blanca be sure to get in touch with Tartas del Rippi in Torrevieja. Not only do their individually created designs look incredible, the best part is that they taste even better!

Sleepover

When your kids are at the age when they feel like they’re getting too old for little children’s parties (but they’re not really!), a fun option is to have a sleepover with a few friends. My daughter just did this for her 9th birthday and she loved it. It does, however, mean you have to supervise a group of children in your house all night!

You could of course create your own decorations and activities to do with the kids who are staying, meaning that having a sleepover could be another great low budget birthday party idea for kids in Costa Blanca.

For something extra special however, consider hiring in an outside organiser like Hello Fiesta, who will setup some small and beautifully decorated tents inside your house for the kids to stay in. They can also organise pamper sessions with nail or face painting if desired.

Toddler Soft Play Hire

For anyone with toddlers or very young children, you may want to give your kids the excitement of a soft play experience, but not want to visit an indoor play centre that may be too busy or not have enough appropriate toys for children of that age.

The answer? Hire in a small, soft play experience to a party in your own home or garden with Amaising Events.

Animal Encounter Experience

Another of the higher budget options for those with a little more money to spend on their kid’s birthday party in Costa Blanca, is a personalised animal encounter. This could provide a truly magical experience.

Aqua Natura in Benidorm offers both real sea lion interactions in the water, as well as the chance to dress up and transform into a mermaid or merman for the day.

Ride a ‘Unicorn’

Lastly, but by no means least, who ever dreamed of meeting a real life unicorn?

Well, here in Costa Blanca you can do just that! All you’ll need is just a little imagination and a trip to Pony Parties in Altea. Here you can ride the ponies and ‘unicorns’, as well as interacting with and feeding their farmyard friends. Different party packages are available.

In Summary

Whether you are looking for indoor party options, or for more adventurous outdoor activities for your kids, there are no shortage of different ideas for children’s parties here in the Costa Blanca region. Your kids may decide they want a visit from their favourite TV character, a chance to try out a new activity or place to go, or even to ride on a ‘unicorn’. Anything is possible in this sunny corner of Spain.

It doesn’t matter if you want an extravagant party with no expense spared, or if you are working to a tighter budget, whatever you plan can still be a really special and memorable event.

We hope that this article has given you some inspiration for your next kid’s birthday party in Costa Blanca. I’m sure you’ll have a fun time, whatever it is that you choose to do.
