Best Theme Parks and Funfairs for Kids in North Costa Blanca

#1 Terra Mitica, Benidorm

Open: June – September

Tickets: Park entrance tickets start at €25 for an adult full day ticket. Reduced packages for families, as well as combination tickets that include access to some of Benidorm’s other main attractions, are also available.

Arguably the region’s largest and premier theme park, Terra Mitica in Benidorm is split across 5 different zones, each themed on a different country or part of the world.

Boasting an impressive selection of rollercoasters and thrill rides, alongside smaller alternatives for a younger audience, the park is sure to provide fun for all the family. Add to this a selection of shows and you know that kids will be well entertained during any visit.

Each zone of the park also has a selection of places to eat and drink, primarily offering fast food in informal surroundings.

#2 Festilandia, Benidorm

Open: Year-round (evenings only). Some rides may be closed outside of peak times.

Tickets: Free entrance, with rides charged for separately. Multiple ride tickets are available, offering a cost reduction per ride.

Set just a short walk back from the main seafront promenade in Benidorm, Festilandia – Sould Park, is an amusement park for kids with a small selection of rides. The park is aimed primarily at younger children, with little fairground type rides only. Nonetheless, there is a nice selection of things to do, sure to bring smiles to any smaller kids’ faces.

The park also boasts a mini golf course to keep any older kids entertained.

Alongside the rides there is also a nice cafe bar, allowing any accompanying grown ups a chance to sit down while kids enjoy the park, or for tasty ice creams all round afterwards.

#3 Family Park, Calpe

Open: March – January (evenings only). Some rides may be closed outside of peak times.

Tickets: Free entrance, with rides charged for separately. Multiple ride tickets are available, offering a cost reduction per ride.

Set just back from the Playa del Cantal Roig beach and next to the Salines de Calp lake, sits Calpe’s Family Park. The park is offers a range of fairground rides, amusements and inflatables, aimed primarily at younger children. The giant Wipeout inflatable is particularly good fun. Some rides have a minimum height requirement of 85cm.

Next to the park, the Salines de Calp lake is home to many flamingoes that you are able to easily see up close, providing another fun distraction for kids while in the area.

#4 DinoPark, Algar

Open: March – November, 10:00 – 18:00 (10:00 – 20:00 in July & August)

Tickets: Adults: €15.00, Children 4-12: €10.00, Children under 4: free.

DinoPark, Algar, is a dinosaur themed adventure park set in beautiful countryside a short drive inland from the coast. It’s location, 17km inland from Benidorm and next the popular Fuentes del Algar waterfalls, makes it a great option for an alternative day out.

The park cascades down a landscaped hillside, planted with a range of plants and many cactuses. Standly proudly amongst these plants are a good selection of life sized model dinosaurs, several with moving animatronic parts. For any kids that are big dinosaur fans, they will love everything that is on offer.

As well as offering the chance to get up close to the dinosaurs, DinoPark also has a playground and paddling pool, 3D Cinema show and fun sandpit, giving kids the chance to excavate hidden replica dinosaur bones. There is also a cafe for food and drinks if required.

Best Theme Parks and Funfairs for Kids in Alicante and Surrounding Area

#5 El Món dels Xiquets (Children’s World), Alicante

Open: Year-round

Tickets: free entrance, with rides charged for separately. Day tickets and multi-ride tickets are also available.

Near to the seafront and port in central Alicante, is the El Món dels Xiquets amusement park. The park is has a small selection of rides and inflatables aimed at younger children. Although some of the rides and facilities are a little dated, the park still offers plenty of fun to keep kids entertained for a visit when in Alicante.

Rides and attractions at the park include a multi level soft play and ball pit, trampolines, and mini golf.

#6 Family Park, San Vicente

Open: Year-round, evenings only

Tickets: Free entry, with rides charged for separately. Alternatively day ticket bracelets can be purchased for €15.00, giving unlimited access to almost all the attractions.

Located in the San Vicente del Raspeig suburb of Alicante, is Family Park. This amusement park offers a good selection of attractions. As well as classic fairground rides, there is also a mini golf course, laser combat zone, go-karts and a zipline. This ensures that kids of all ages will be able to find something to enjoy.

If looking for resfreshment, the park also has a selection of restaurant and bar options on site.

Best Theme Parks and Funfairs for Kids in South Costa Blanca

#7 Pola Park, Santa Pola

Open: February – December, weekends only, 12:00 – 20:00 (Open 7 days a week in July & August, 12:00 – late)

Tickets: Day tickets with unlimited access: Adults (age 8+): €21.00, Children (2-7): €19.00, Under 2: free. It is also possible to buy a basic ticket for €5 which allows park entry and access to 1 ride only. Additional rides can then be purchased for €3 each. Further discounts are sometimes available when booking online in advance.

Pola Park, in Santa Pola, is a flamingo themed amusement park offering a good selection of rides. These rides are aimed primarily at younger, school-aged children. The park features a rollercoaster, trampolines, and fairground rides, as well as indoor soft play areas. There is also a small go-kart and quad bike area, where smaller kids can also ride if accompanied by an adult.

There is lots to do in the park – perfect for a day’s entertainment. At peak times the park can get quite busy, though queue times are usually not too bad on the majority of rides.

#8 Parque de Atracciones de Paseo, Torrevieja

Open: Year-round (weekend evenings only). Open 7 days a week in the summer months. Not all attractions are open outside of peak times.

Tickets: Free entrance, with rides charged for separately. Rides cost more at peak times.

Torrevieja’s fair is a classic funfair. Located between the city and the marina, the fair is always popular as a real family favourite. There are a good selection of rides, as well as all the usual sideshow games. Some of the rides are quite big and impressive. In the peak summer months, many of the more popular attractions are duplicated around the fair, meaning queue times are never big.

Next to the fair is a pedestrian market for souvenir shopping. The fair also has several food and drink outlets, including the chance for accompanying adults to enjoy a mojito while the kids take on the rides.

#9 Mini Tivoli, Torre de la Horadada

Open: Summer months, evenings only 19:30 – 00:00

Tickets: Free entrance, with rides charged for separately

Mini Tivoli is a small amusement park for younger children only, located right at the southern end of the Costa Blanca. There is a small selection of fairground rides and inflatables. It is very cute and colourful, and a perfect distraction for kids if enjoying an evening out in the area during summertime.
